Join VEBA volunteers for a day of service working with the trans community.
CLE and training for the clinic will be offered beginning at 10:00 a.m., with 2 hours of interactive Virginia MCLE credit. The clinic runs from 1:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
The clinic will assist clients with name change applications, petitions for gender marker changes, birth certificate corrections, DMV and social security record updates, DD214s (military discharge records), and answering related legal questions.
Signup for prospective clients is here.
This event is held in coordination with the Carrico Center for Pro Bono & Public Service at the University of Richmond School of Law. Law students from all ABA-accredited Virginia law schools are invited to attend; however, space is limited so all law students must register using the appropriate registration type to secure a slot at the clinic.
Lunch is provided courtesy of the Carrico Center. Visit Panera's menu here and note your choices on the registration form.
