Virtual Name & Gender Marker Change Clinic - Client Registration

Are you a Virginia resident who needs help changing your name and/or gender marker on your identity documents or has questions surrounding such?! If so, this FREE virtual legal clinic is for you! 

At this virtual clinic, volunteer attorneys, law students, and paralegals will assist clients throughout Virginia with name change applications, administrative and judicial petitions for gender marker changes, birth certificate corrections, DMV and social security record updates, DD214 updates (military discharge records), and answering related legal questions- including questions regarding clients' ability to update their federal identity documents. Clients will be assigned to attorney groups on Saturday, November 1st, who will contact the client to schedule a time in the next week (prior to November 8th) to meet via Zoom to go over client questions and confirm the documentation requested. Once the documentation is ready, the clinic team will review each document and share the finalized versions with the client via a protected shared file.
